Depends on what you are trying to achieve by adding an AAV into the line. Are you trying to stop the running trap being self syphon'd/pulled or are you venting a long run or trying to stop gurgling at outlets?

For water to discharge on a long run it needs to be able to draw air in to the system?
The reason for venting a long run would be to avoid any self syphoning or pulling on traps further downstream.

Of course but in a domestic setting there would usually be an outlet that would feed into the run like a sink, basin, bath etc therefore there would be plenty of options to vent via the trap.
I take it you are talking about a commercial setting where the glasswasher needs to drain into a run? Ideally you want to minimise the length of run to below 4m on a 50mm waste pipe. That being said if you wish to empty a glasswasher into a waste run and are concerned that the output from the appliance will overwhelm the size of the waste pipe then you would vent at the head of the run.
Can I recommend that you avoid using a waterless trap in a commercial setting. Waterless traps suffer more from a lack of servicing than normal watersealed traps and do need cleaned periodically.
Ideally you want the waste pipe to be large enough/run not overly long, if not then I'd use a antivac running trap. Is the outflow from the glasswasher that large, they don't hold huge amount of water do they??

Thanks no it doesnt hold a huge amount of water at all.
I did wonder whether the glass wash maybe trapped in the machine?
Check the MI, it'll tell you. Some are, size dependent.
