I have an MCB and RCD CU. My lighting circuit has an earth cable.
I need a new light fitting above my bath which I understand as Zone 1. These lights are available in metal or plastic and I was wondering if I should be choosing a certain type.

Also, I noticed that some of these lights don't have an earth input. What should I be doing with my earth cable in this situation?

Thanks in advance.

Also, are all IP65 rated lights implicitly suitable for Zone 1?

I would be cautious if there is a shower spray that can reach the lamp. Gentle shower or powerful shower ?

Another weak point is where the cable enters the lamp fitting, humid air may enter the lamp if that cable entry is not sealed and the humidity then condenses into water inside the lamp

It's a gentle shower run off the bath taps and unlikely to be pointed upwards unless done by mistake, I suppose...
The cables will enter through the ceiling and straight into the light.

Can someone please advise where the earth cable should go with a plastic cased light?
It doesn’t have a designated connection for earth
