I've gone to install my single channel hive into a home we have recently purchased but come across an issue.

The boiler is a combi boiler recently installed by the previous owners.
The new boiler has been wired into the old dual channel controller.
There is no wire to the NC and two wires to the live.

I guess the NC has been permanently wired to live?

Would welcome ideas.

One Red wire brings Live to the controller.
The other red wire in the Live terminal links Live to the Common ( teminal 5 )

The yellow wire is the Switched Live ( calling for heat ) back to the boiler.

Thanks - yes aware of what the wires do I just need to know if I should wire the Hive controller with the same wires the the equivalent connections ie keep the two wires to the live.
