Evening all. Have I misunderstood the following please, on my Texecom keypad can you trigger a panic mode? It’s stating hold 4 & 6 together but nothing happens. PA is enabled & PA audible is selected in Wintex.

Many thanks

Looks like I may have a duff label. I’ll try 1&3 tomorrow sparkymarka…. Cheers

Someone at texecom may have changed it in their wisdom ! Lol nothing surprises me anymore !

You've got the export version. They have different key assignments to the UK version. The Fire and Panic keys are reversed for some reason. It's in the manual.

Alas the Premier 412/816/832 using 4&6 where as the premier 12/24/48/64/88/168/640 Use 1 & 3.

The keypad itself doesn't do the panic just sends the keypress to the panel.

So the question is the issue wrong product in the box, or the wrong label on the keypad I guess.

You may be able to request the right label from Texecom if you ask them nicely as its easier than raising a return I suspect.

I recently installed a 64-W system. Here's part of the User Guide, which says that the panic and fire settings are reversed for UK and non-UK devices, as I said above.

Crazy don't have a new keypad in front of me and only did one the other day and can't remember if they come with the labels on the keypad or you select one from a pack.

You would expect if they weren't pick your own from a set that the box would be labelled export that it came in.
Got an LCDLP box only that hasn't been recycled yet and nothing on their to suggest its export or UK.

This keypad had the label already fitted, and it came in a pack from a reliable UK source.

Interesting thing is that the bit I posted was in the User Manual, but not in the Installation Manual.

No idea what is in the manuals specifically especially the user/ master user ones, I suspect just has the options for keypad panic for Elite and for the International panels which I know are completely different.

One is wondering if the user manual has included the international range of panels for reference rather than it referring to international Elite panel firmware confusing and possibly not needed. Only way is to sk texecom or flash to a international version of the firmware.

The same production line for the keypads I suspect, so wrong label in right box, wrong box dispatched, but if there are no identifying marks to distinguish ie product code or export on the label wouldn't know for sure.

That be a question for Texecom to clear up.
