Why not offer the hedges on Free cycle ,I'm sure someone would think they are worthwhile to come and dig out for you !.

Haha knowing my local group they will either want me to dig it up and deliver it 30 miles away at 1030 on a Tuesday or the admin will get a bag on about me asking people to come and look at my bush!
