Double hard drive failure!!

Fair comment guys ;) but I always intend any fiddling I do to make things better, and as you know, computers are likely to start behaving badly, even if left alone. For what it's worth, I have built three 'high-end' computers to date and, apart from the odd motherboard going down, I consider my efforts to have been a success. These are the first (internal) hard drive failures I've experienced, so maybe it was about time...

In the case of this PC in question, I am pretty certain that nothing I did caused the problem (I only rarely go into the BIOS, and only for a good reason: I never tweak anything I don't understand the function of), but I do push my PCs fairly hard (audio / video / games).

I am also the owner of an Apple Powerbook, and I have to say that I consider it a superior computer, though not as much 'fun'. Well, perhaps the lack of tweakability is what makes it so stable? Or is it that it's just not Windows...

Ay yes, I did have a recent problem with a CPU on one machine, which was ultimately resolved by replacing the unit. I'm no guru, but I usually get things working again (thanks, in part, to you guys :D )
