We’ll not know unless we see the wiring in the sockets and better understand what goes where. Hate the word “assume”, better to say “don’t know”. I’ve seen so many assumes turn to disasters.

I can’t see the purpose of the loop, unless there were plans for a socket down there for something.

I'll need to get an electrician in anyway to move a different socket so will get them to have a look at it to make sure all is well.

That’s all going to end up behind a kitchen unit? It’s fine as it is. There’s a void behind nearly all kitchen units.

Ah. Just chase the cables in to provide clearance for the cab. Dont fill them in.
