Easing of Rules

You certainly don't.

You won't have the vaccines due to "risks"

But you don't know what those risks are or if they exist at all.

Not much thought going on eh
My 42 year old friend died yesterday of a stroke, incidentally 10 days after her second dose.
She'd complained of headaches since the first dose and was told it's normal.
She leaves 2 daughters aged 10 and 12 and a good husband.
No previous conditions, never smoked, run 10k every year under the hour and trained all year round.
But of course it's all a coincidence, she would've died anyway.
Correct?
I don't want Lord Covid to get angry and ask for more sacrifices.

Tragic though any death is, one instance is proof of nothing.

I am very sorry to hear that.

was it the Astra Zeneca vaccine?

"The syndrome described as Vaccine-induced thrombosis and thrombocytopenia (VITT) has been primarily associated with CVST and has been reported with the Astra Zeneca vaccine."

"It’s important to stress that such cases remain very rare, and it’s certainly much rarer in people who have had the AZ vaccine than it is in people affected by COVID-19 itself. "

The whole bloody thing is a massive medical experiment...

And yet the lab rats keep coming back for more! (n)

and yet you cant tell us how the risk of side effects from the vaccine compare to the risk of covid

nor can you say how long you think you need to wait.
nor can you say how many people should die of covid in the meantime

Nah, I'll wait and see if I fall asleep in the chair. I was tired all the time 6 months ago, probably once every few weeks now I get hit sudden tiredness.

Maybe I am just older now ...

I been getting tired recently as well... but everything else has been OK.

At the end of the day, the virus is going to do what its going to do, we can hold it back (in somewhat of a limited way) , slow it down and we can protect a high amount of the vunerable persons with vacines now. We can't keep holding it back idefinatly though, we have to stop at some point, and now seems pretty good actually...the most vunerable have had two jabs long ago enough for it to have become as effective as it will, without having had time to recuce in effectiveness (if it does), the impact of respiracy viruses is always lower in summer, the NHS is is least strecthed in the summer months. Etc. We could wait untill more are vacinated, but bear in mind that they seem to be slowing down, as more and more of the folk that are left are the ones that are refusing it, and of the rest, most are younger folk waiting on second dose that wouldn't suffer too badly with the virus in most cases, so the trade off would be waiting into autumn when the NHS is becomming more loaded, the virus has an advantage, and the risk is that protetcion 'could' be wearing off for vulnerable people.

You appear to be supporting a herd mentality argument.
edit, I meant herd immunity. Doh!

Yep, there’s a few on here like that. I wonder if there were people like that on the Titanic - refusing a life jacket thinking it was a trick cement filled jacket and just taking their chances without one? Let them sink, I say and don’t waste any time resuscitating them when they start to drown.

If you're going to take a minimum part of the whole quote, at least keep the discussion on topic.

It appears to be an argument for herd immunity to be given a chance.

Or simply growing a pair. There's an alarming number of people (I know several so I assume most people know of some) that will never return to work, will self isolate on a whim and likely spend the rest of their days watching daytime tv with a mask on.
It's time to get on with life.

You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is ignoring the scientific advice.
The situation with Covid will get worse before it gets better with cases "rising dramatically", medical leaders have warned.

The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges said people should remain cautious, taking measures such as wearing face coverings in crowded indoor spaces.

Visiting family at eastern end of the A14. Immediate neighbours are isolating after (he) a stag weekend and he came home with symptoms, confirmed as CV19. Had to collect stuff from a friend in local town - they are in similar state, picked stuff up from doorstep.
That's the first close instances we have seen of CV19 so we deduce it is still spreading.
Scary!
If catch it it likely to stop me participating in my favourite sport (evidence is many sport divers cannot continue if they catch the virus).
