Just for info, the DoctoLib site that is used to book the jab crashed last night. There was 17,000 per minute appointments being booked.

Recently a friend had their first jab via that site and a local vaccination centre, even though they are not registered for medical care in France.
No Carte Vital nor EHIC card was required, just some ID.
If no CV available, they just create a new record for you there and then. It's totally free irrespective of your status.
An appointment for the second jab is automatically created when you've had your first.

Still up to your favourite past time, promoting chaos, violence, disharmony?

There were so many applications for vaccinations the booking site crashed after Macron gave his policy decision. Does that look like people will object to his policy?

BTW, France has taken this recent step due to the potential for the Delta variant to become the dominant strain in Europe. It isn't yet, but it is becoming an increasing possibility that that will happen.

His figure and that data do not necessarily clash. If the distribution of the vaccinated is skewed by age, as it is here, theres no reason at all why the total for the entire population could not be 53% while health workers are at 30%.

That could normally apply, except that, in France Health professionals were 3rd on the priority list.
In France the priority list was
Over 75's
Care Home residents and staff
Other Health Professionals.

He has said that France will begin vaccinating all over 75s by the end of January, not just those living in care homes. This stage was initially planned to be carried out in February or March.
Once this group has been vaccinated, France will move on to vaccinating the remaining health professionals - the process to vaccinate health workers aged over 50 began on Monday, January 4.

Of course you could argue that Health Professionals were resistant to taking the vaccine, but logic would suggest that is a fallacious argument.

Yes, but I suspect it's a lower percentage than the general population, especially as many of them are involved in giving the vaccines, yet by the very nature of their work are more exposed to it.
And I've not encountered anyone in person who would refuse the vaccine, just the few refuseniks on here.
