Just a mix of reclaimed yellow and red stocks- the pile in front of the wall
here I mean. Look a good match for our first floor extension, but about £1.90 a brick

any comments appreciated!

Thanks, I got these through a brick matching company, but they charge £1.90 a brick (seems dear)

I can get 1000 for £1400 of reclaimed yellow stocks from another company but these in the photo seem a pretty good Match?

There will be a lot of wastage using reclaimed, especially on the headers,as Notch said they don't look in the best condition.

What do you think of these?

imperial Handmade (new): 1st are “weathered” london yellow stock.
2nd London yellow stock

Which would you vote for No 1 photo or no 2 photo?

thanks

I think London stocks look better with a flush joint, rather than Weather struck and cut.

I’ve seen the pennyroll (?) joints looking good on these

I don't really like Penny rolled joints myself, always thought it looked a bit cheap. It is also a lot of extra work. Tuck pointing is nice, but really expensive.
As noseall said, a Flush joint for certain types of brickwork takes some beating.
