Hello all

Looking to refresh and restyle my kitchen with a new colour. What type of paint would be best suited to painting these? They are not modern veneer units but older handmade ones in pine that are already painted.

Presumably to get the best finish I should invest in some sort of pain sprayer kit? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks all

From what I've seen online the pros seem to swear by Benjamin Moore Advance.

Usually they prefer to spray, but can be brushed/rollered on, though so it don't look gash probably need to be really good at painting to not get any lines in it

Proper paint sprayers are really expensive, but you may be able to hire one, the you'll want an airless sprayer

Best to remove the doors and lay them on a table in the garage of something, prop the door on some blocks so as it's not flat in the table, stops the edges from sticking down and allows you to get paint on the edges.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead already and bought Dulux satinwood. Painted on with a varnish roller to get the best finish I could. Just not sure about the colour now - brighter than I was expecting. Shown here on a dishwasher front panel that I made up myself to match the rest of the kitchen units.

Looks alright in the photo. Done good job of the door.

See what you mean about it being lighter, think I know what colour you was looking for, more of a navy blue maybe
