Hi all, bit of a dilemma.

I installed wall tiles 2 weeks ago and noticed they are no longer in line yesterday.

I am still to grout. They're porcelain tiles, I have done tiling in the past and it's been perfectly fine. I have used ceramic tiles in the past much easier to work with, porcelain has been a bugger especially cutting and drilling.

I just can't seem to work out why this has happened.

The bathroom hasn't been completed yet so there hasn't been any use.

Its a bit late now but you need a powdered adhesive for porcelain tiles. The moisture in the adhesive can't escape through a porcelain tile like it can a ceramic tile so a premixed adhesive takes a long time to dry. You have the worst of all worlds for drying; porcelain and large.

Yep large format tiles I'd always use powered adhesive, it cures differently.

Will they peel off?.

Nope they're solid now

Going to be having more fun drilling through them when installing bits and bobs. Can't use a timber template for the diamond bit so it will be slipping everywhere.

I would hazard that probably only you will notice the joints not aligning perfectly (forever whenever you're in there) but not many others will.

You're spot on.

As people we worry too much for the finer perfections but weeks, months and years later we can't care less

Update

This is strange now some of the tiles have moved outwards.

Will this continue to happen?
