Texecom Premier Elite 24 - Zone Problem

Hi All, I'm looking for some pointers to resolve what I hope is a programming issue with a newly installed installed Premier Elite 24 panel (v5.02.01LS1)?

I'm not an installer but thanks to the info shared in this forum I've got the system installed with no faults reported. The problem I have is that both entry/exit zones are reported as active preventing me from arming the system. These two zones are setup the same, with a single door contact on each, setup as Entry/Exit 1 and Double Pole/EOL. I've done a walk test and all PIR's report their 'live' status as expected, but these two entry/exit zones are stuck active.

I've checked the wiring at the panel and the contact and all looks okay. I've removed the magnet from the door and presented it to the contact sensor and can hear the switch detecting the magnet's presence. The door contacts are identical Knight XEND24V2 units wired and with jumpers/shunts installed as per 2k2/4k7 as documented for Texecom systems.

Is there something I've missed from a programming perspective?

sounds like wrong resistor values possibly.

in eng utils on the keypad zone status, what does it show for the units open and closed.

are the magnets aligned properly

Jumpers are on contact wrong.
You need to put on as per instructions shown here

Wow, thanks for the quick response. So the magnet is (was) lined up okay.

Tried the zone status util as suggested @secureiam and it was reporting active with the magnet presented or removed. That said, tried rotating the magnet 180deg so it was effectively upside down and got a result. Well, the status was flipping from active to secure intermittently. So for clarity, it remains active when lined up as per the image, but when rotated (so the arrow on the magnet is pointing down) it works with mixed success. Seems like I have a magnet issue, as if the polarity has flipped? Weird that it's the same with both contacts/magnets.

I don't think it's an issue with the internals on the wired part - as I recall, the board will only fit in one orientation. Looks like I have the cause now though. Thanks for your help.

am i missing something, i rotated the image round and it looks like it matches to me

tamper spring A open B shorted C open D open, 4 /5 shorted (nearest read shorted across E and F) Y and shorted for X and Y.

wired into first and last terminal.

Its grade 3 door contact the poles have to be lined up properly.

basically it is so a magnet cant be applied adhoc to keep the reed closed and be circumvented.

Yeah, the jumpers/shunts are fine @secureiam - they match the configuration table in the install docs for Texecom.

Just checked the internals for the door contact and the reed switch is definitely oriented downwards (nearest the magnet) so it looks like I have a magnet problem. Weird.

I have some larger/alternate contacts (I opted not to use them when I saw a smaller variant) so will give those a go in place of these ones.

sorry not following you, the arrows should align normally to indicate correct orientation of magnet polarity.

Agreed, but when installed like that (as in the image) that the reed switch in the contact is never closed. If I turn the magnet the wrong way round it works (status utility reports secured when magnet presented) although it’s somewhat intermittent. I have a larger set of contacts that I’m going to try.

poles been reversed (unlikely but not impossible) or production line put in the wrong way round. is the magnet glued in or just pushed in/ held in with a clip, not used these ones to be fair.

the pcb comes out of the plastic so where was the reed in relation to the arrow?

Are these grade 3 contacts ? Eg if the magnet is in the wrong place or too close ?
