The most awful..

Cramp... help just had the worst cramp in my legs ever. Had a 2 hr badminton sesh, mostly double but finished off playing 2 single games. I darn't lay down again it was murder.

Does anyone have any remedies please ? Gonna have a couple of bananas for a start.

Umm... think i'll pass on that cb, ould try a bit of the herb! Christ on a bike, just read you can get it in your tongue :eek:wth!

the only time i get cramp i have a marmite smear on bread [about 10% salt] as i am well aware off salt in my diet and removed all added salt
also worth avoiding sauces unless you need a salt/sodium such fix as lee and perrings 'soya 'sacshan'hot sauce not loaded with sugar use salt to preserve so perhaps 5-15% salt content
my blood tests come back as low sodium so am aware a touch off salt can be the problem with cramp or sluggish though process

Thanks, yes you could be on to something, i need to replace some lost salts - am off to fire up the grill
and have a smear or two.
 
Did you have a warm-up before playing a two hour game?
Five or ten minutes of stretching helps your muscles prepare for the amount of effort you put into a game as aerobically challenging as badminton.
 
Cold shower.... start with your normal hot shower. Finish fully cold all over...
 
Every christmas we used to have several board games, Scrabble, Pictionary etc at some point my FIL would grab his leg and roll on the floor in agony with cramp, we always suspected it was a ruse so he could leave and walk it off
