Gas boilers

More? Or a continuation of? There will always be gas bodgers. It goes straight to their 'eds when they get that Gas Safe badge and can finally call themselves 'engineers', lol.
Do you think any of the recent spate of gas explosions could be due to un registered people? Registered people will leave a paper trail, if they balls up, they should be held accountable. Too many jobs are done on the cheap, no questions asked-no comebacks. Natural gas will ignite at a level of 5% to 15% gas in air, hydrogen more like 4% to 75% gas in air, so I can see a larger amount of "accidents" if the job is not scrutinised more.

Borisconi hailed thatcher as the pioneer of green energy...

He kind of forgot that after ideologically destroying so many communities she led the 'dash for gas'...

Could someone remind borisconi that burning gas is just as bad as coal

Of course one of his new 'advisors' will have probably told him that not every block of flats are suitable for ground heat pumps...

But then borisconi doesn't understand the real life issues of the serfs!
Coal gives off many particulates but less than burning wood. Gas has no particulates
If the mines were still operational, the soy boy leftards would be foaming at the mouth to close them for ecological reasons wouldn’t they ? So thatcher was ahead of the curve

Bitumeous coal is much worse than wood (source https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...kQFnoECAMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2nl1Sqn0FSqXETaDJGnsUV) , anthracite is better. I believe most of our coal is bituminous, but there are some anthracite deposits.

I don't think the penny has droppings for some of the die hards hanging on in here. As things are getting warmer and winters less severe the demand for gas and gas boilers will soon plummet esp as more is invested in more sustainable energy ie bigger and more efficient wind turbines and other advancements in renewable energy which will further impact the need for gas and coal.

Get ready for cheaper electricity guys!

Gas boilers ...LMAO

You'd think that, but the climate is becoming less predictable. Hotter on average but occasionally we'll get lumps of arctic air dropping down on us. Again.

Also, if the Atlantic circulation disappears then we start getting the same winters Canada gets.

Which bit of Canada?
We're further north than Ottowa. Calgary is a similar latitude to London. Both of them are on the interior so they'd lack the moderating influence of the sea. Maybe nova Scotia, it's a bit more southerly than us but we are still on an island.

It's no good talking continental mass to thickos. They still think the weather is largely influenced by Fish.

A wind turbine produced 5 MWatts of electricity ( that eventually ends up as heat )

If the wind turbine was not there what would the wind do with the 5 MWatts that was not taken by a wind turbine. Does it also end up eventually as heat ( warmer air ) when the wind stops blowing. ?
