Hi.

I have replaced the lead water pipe for a blue one.

I have a rear extension and the stopcock will go right at the back under kitchen sink.

I have an extra 3 meters in length.

Would you keep excess length under floor or cut it to exact length?

If I don't cut it will it effect water pressure due to longer run?

An extra 3m wouldn't really have that much effect on the available pressure/flow.

Cut it to suit though unless you are sure you might need the extra length in the future. and make sure it's well insulated if it's living in a void under the floor.

Thanks. I have taken half a brick under floor to run the mdpe pipe into the extension from existing property wall. I'm also going to run radiator and hot water pipes in this hole. Is there are certain gap I need between copper and mdpe to prevent any damage from radiated heat?

Not because of damage but because you do not want potable water to be warm, ever.. (Legionella etc)

You can insulate both both of the pipes to minimise heat conduction, ideally separate penetrations though yes.
