Well I thought I fixed it by adjusting the unit. Today it started again.
Surely it’s the crappy screwfix part?

use a piece of string to tie up the ball float, which should prevent water entering through the valve. Run the tap that you said prevented the overflow, for a couple of minutes.

go and take another pic of the inside of the tank, showing the water level. Is there any sign of water entering it?

Wait ten minutes. Photograph the inside again. Has the water level changed?

Take another showing both the tanks, and indicating which is higher.

What colour is your hot-water cylinder?

Could be dirt/debris in orifice

The only way to adjust that type is to bend the rod. I would dismantle the valve, make sure all the parts are clean and the diaphragm is not split. If that doesn't cure it buy a new valve.

Fixed it by replacing the standard screws ones with a tool station high pressure one..
Even the plumbers didn’t have an idea or want to know tbh
