Hi,

had some work done on the house so have drained the central heating a few times and had some pipe work done.

all back together and all works fine apart from one radiator.

I’ve taken it off and flushed it.
I’ve changed the valves to new ones.
But no water is coming through the valves.

Ive turned of all other rads and except for the broke one one taken the valves off and opened them up to see if I can get it going but the nothing. I’ve closed the pass through valve to get max pressure.

This rad is not the furthest away and others further away work. I can’t see the plumber capping off any pipes he shouldn’t have. He did repurpose one rad feed but that is working fine.

I’m out of ideas. Can anyone please help?

thanks.

If nothing is coming through the valves then it’s not the radiator. You must either have a blockage or some air in it. If all other valves are closed and the pump is on full them there is a blockage.

Worked it out. Plumber had cut what he thought was just the feed to a radiator in the kitchen in the ceiling to repurpose for another radiator. But it was the feed to both the kitchen and the bedroom.

I found that out when I connected the bedroom back up and the kitchen flooded through the old pipes!

I had called the plumber about the radiator but he just said it wasn’t him who had done anything wrong and wasn’t interested in coming out.

I’ve just proved exactly when he did wrong by fixing it (reconnected bedroom and capped old kitchen feeds which actually ran down the back of the wall in the next room). Some people!
