Poor carpet join

Anyone know about carpets?

Had a nice carpet fitted a month or so ago by a local reputable company. I knew there would be a join as the room is wider than the carpet. I’ve had joins before and they’ve been invisible but this one is very visible. It’s also coming apart at the join in one place.

Is this acceptable? I’m not sure if I should be happy with what I have or should be demanding what I was expect (invisible join).

They’ve been out once to ‘reglue’ the join but it’s not made any difference

Photos aren’t great but the join is VERY visible.

Expect to be told "This sort of carpet ............"

Call them back, how did you pay? Credit card?

Thanks. To be fair to the company they’ve been out to look at it and even seem prepared to replace the whole thing. I just want to assess my expectations! I shouldn’t be able to see any evidence of a join whatsoever right?

If they have offered to replace it then go for it before they change their mind.
