Shower pressure query

Nope, the pressure is governed by the distance between the cold water cistern in the loft and the height of the shower head. Regardless of whether the pipe supplying the shower rises first (unless it rises above the level of the cistern of course) That being said the more bends, tees and elbows it has to negotiate, the less flow there will be at the shower.

Your bath taps are probably full flow screw down type with 22mm feeds? The pressure will still be rubbish but the flow will be great.

Is it a modern bar shower that you have and a rain shower head? If so that'll be your major restriction to slowing down the flow. You'll need to consider a pump but you won't be able to pump it the way it is at the moment, to much air liable to enter the pump. You could look at a power shower.

How is yours plumbed in?
Same as yours, HW teed of the HW cylinder vent pipe (in the loft). Just above loft floor level. Yours isn't teed off too high, close to the CWST water level is it? That wouldn't help.
Mines a Mira Minilite, single lever control. With a low head you always want all the flow available, so separate controls for hot and cold no advantage.
Would removing the sieve filters on the water inlets on the bar make a difference?
It's certainly worth a try.
Yeh if I hold shower head at bottom of bath compared to holding it up in the air its worse but not much.
That's odd, as the head is greater you'd expect higher flow.

As above, pressure should increase with the shower head lower.
A few choices;
Redo the shower pipework so it's teed off the bath tap pipes.
Swap the bath taps for one with a shower outlet on.
Redo shower pipework, Surrey flange, pump.

Horizontal bar mixer and " rain head" type showers need better pressure than your gravity system will deliver. If you check the specification of the shower valve ,it should tell you the minimum pressure required for a given flow rate .
Fitting a pump is the only thing that will give you enough pressure.
Is your baths cold supply from mains or loft tank ?

Yeh bath cold is from loft tank. I really should have modified the pipework when I did the bathroom and tiles were off

Just removed the bar and stripped it all down, cleaned it out and remove NRV’s. Bit of gunk and scale inside, but working as good as new again
