I've just moved into a house with underfloor heating downstairs and rads upstairs. I have 5 different zones all controlled by individual Siemens RDH10 non programmable thermostats. As I want to control the upstairs rads separately and not just set the temperature I'm looking to fit a RDH10RF programmable thermostat. Does anyone know if they are a straight swap please?

No they won’t be a straight swap, as you’re changing from just a 2 wire to 3/4 wire. The RDH10 will be a live and switched, using batteries. The RF version needs a receiver which is powered by Live and Neutral as well as Live and switching wires.

Just trying to find a suitable programmable (5/2 7 day)surface mounted thermostat to replace it.

Any suggestions please?

There’s a few to choose from, firstly double check the wiring, I’ve just realised that sometimes the wires are there, but safely terminated.

If it is just 2 wire, then search the internet for “2 wire programmable thermostat” - Drayton digistat is one, Nest E should work, there’s others as well.
