can you build the patio so that it finishes 4" or so away from the wall?
Then use also drain or similar to bridge the gap.

Other way is bundles of plastic pipe through the patio so that they extend the air bricks.

Extend the ventilation path from the airbricks with ducting through the base of the patio.

Don't cover the air bricks!

Could the patio be below the airbricks, with wooden steps down from the door?

Yes i could extend the gaps no problem i was thinking of using sleepers as a retaining wall and using a metal grid for the air flow. My main concer would be the splash of rain onto render???

you don't want that. Over time it will get clogged up and block airflow - even with the best intentions to keep it clear, those air bricks will eventually be forgotten.
Then in 10 years you'll be wondering why timber floors got bouncy and rooms smell damp and mouldy.

What would you suggest??

Tbh that a good idea JP even with wooden steps above dpc rain splash ect would still occur and obto render. Worst nightmare having to have it redone

Paint the wall and situate the patio below the air bricks.

By painting the wall it won't look so noticeable and blend in with the render.

This solves issues with blocking the air bricks or having to extend them and keeps water splash off the render.

If i do that its 1 hell of a step down especially for the kids. Over 300mm
