EICR and following faults

Hi,

I've just had an EICR done on my rental property and 2 weeks later the electric oven isn't heating and the electric hot water cylinder isn't heating up.
During the job the wiring was reconfigured in "the 24hr DB to allow all circuits to be protected by RCD" and " "replace main switch with RCD in off peak DB".
Are these faults a result of this work or just a coincidence?

Sounds like someone who
1. doesn't know how to carry out an EICR
2. doesn't understand what they are doing

if the two faults occurred immediately after the "reconfiguration" then its something that the "electrician" has got wrong (does the oven work at the off peak time?).
Its up to you if you trust him/her to come back to fix it.

I'll check with my tenant but he's an approved electrician elecsa approved if that means anything.

Who is ELECSA approved, the tenant or the electriian that did the EICR?

well the new RCD maybe stopping the water heating.
Is it in the up posisiton.

The electrician is elecsa approved. The tenant said all switches are up suggesting not a short. The electrician said he can't see a reason for tripping as they're on RCBOS, whatever 1 of them is. Hopefully he'll be back soon to sort the issues out, but strangely the sockets were tripping the day after this job but he sorted that out
