Replacement boiler

Bleakers, I work for a manufacturer and don't think it's cricket advertising where people ask for advice but if you want to compare different manufacturers approaches to boilers and heat exchangers go here. 18 minutes of me wittering on but you will be able to see differences in approach from different manufacturers.

Thanks for the video, but whilst I would agree that it’s a well built product, unfortunately I think out of my price range. Circumstances dictate I’m operating more at the mini metro end of the spectrum.

When pressed, my regular plumber agreed that the Glow Worm 30c was the cheapest with a 10 year warranty. The next two he has suggested are Glow Worm energy, 30kw or moving up, a Baxi 824, all with 10 year warranty.

I haven’t pressed him yet on the ATAG or Intergas.

Is there much difference in price on these, he knows my circumstances so I think he’s trying to look at the budget end for me.

Your comments and time as always very much appreciated.

If you're looking at the budget end of things then the Intergas Rapid might suit you, but the Xclusive is likely to be out of your price range as is an Atag. The Ravenheat HE98S is definitely worth a look - really well designed boiler with a Viessmann-style single coil stainless heat exchanger, 7 year warranty, all metal construction and 9:1 modulation.

I’ve got the intergas rapid+ 32kw version. And so far it’s been a great boiler. It’s a fair size, but quiet When running. For the money it was a bargain.
has a 6 year warranty too.
