Cha-Ching ....
Clipped up the wiring and repositioned the rear calliper as it was juuuust touching on the hub motor and fitted the mudguards back on. I found out that by entering the settings on the motor display, I could set the maximum speed for motor assist anywhere between 12kph to 40kph which is nearly 25mph. Going to have to try it at that for a while at least! Next on the list will be a set of good lamps, a puncture proof inner tube because removing the rear wheel is a bit of a faff as I need to remove the rear derailleur as well. Also going to get some good dual purpose tyres for road and path. When I’ve done that, I can safely put it away for another year or so……
I have a Gaadi double ended inner tube I carry around with me, which avoids the need to remove the wheel as my bike is belt drive and removing the wheel is a right faff, though I'm yet to try it out the spare tube.

Looks similar to my steed, except I have a rack and small pannier as i like to buy eggs when out and about, also a can of puncture repair gunge, buff, money, (for cakes & coffee & eggs) and in winter a mouth and ear cover & goggles, oh and sanitiser & spare mask

In my seat bag I have a puncture kit, a chain, a pump, a spare tube and some tools.
Tomorrow (depending on how I feel and the weather), I’m going to attempt to go to work on it. 26 mile round trip. Battery is supposed to be good for 35 miles. I might take my charger with me and charge it up while I’m doing a bit of consultation work to be on the safe side.
Well, I made it! Only one way though. Not knowing how far I could go on a full battery, I took my bike on the train there but cycled all the way home. Stopped off at my mates in East Ham for a cuppa and then on to the Cycle super highway that runs alongside the A13. Probably took me an hour and a quarter all together and I still had around half my battery power left.
Best of all, I smashed through the hundred mile mark on my bike that I have had for 7 years.

Our daughter is getting married next year. She’s been with her boyfriend for 7 years. Tonight we are having a 'meet the parents' evening. I’ve been told to talk as little as possible. Whatever can she mean?
Cleaned the outside of all the windows and frames, trained a few rose stems to go where I would like them to. Went swimming and 'bumped into' my step-daughter and granddaughter in the pool. Seen a warbird, (unidentified), fly over as I was waiting for my wife and stepson. Bit of shopping. Filled up with diesel, (£67.89 Note the price).
Arrived home and laid the table whilst my wife cooked 2 beautiful 12oz steaks with salad, onion rings and a surprisingly nice bottle of red called 19 Crimes which my eldest stepson bought me as part of my birthday present last month.
Tomorrow I'm working 9-4 as a volunteer at a charity collection in work. Must need my head testing!
