I think I'm becoming a pacifist!

Humans have always been very territorial, organised themselves into tribes / social groups and opposed any other such group for encroaching into their area - it is also a very common human trait that when feeling strong will try and take over any other tribes area if they show weakness. Killing others and invading their area is base human instinct.

The strange thing is - we're at our best and achieve amazing things when we all work together.

Nope

humans are social animals and are conditioned (like most animals) not to kill their own kind. Animals without this genetic characteristic exterminate themselves or have to live in solitude.

The taboos against murder and infanticide do not derive from laws. The laws derive from innate human bhaviour.

Unless you are born defective, you have to be trained to kill. It can be achieved by teaching you that "the enemy" is not your own kind. Perhaps they are a different colour, or religion, or speak a different language, or are a

Speaking about drones

defence experts are getting concerned about the possibility of masse drone attacks and starting to get creative in there possible preparation to combat masse drone attacks instigated by trrrorist groups

Kamakazi pigeons is one idea ?

Wasn't there an incident in Libya some months back where a drone operating on 'artificial intelligence' fired on their own troops?

This is at the core of my original post and my position on this. Whilst I know it'll never happen, (John Lennon's Imagine I suppose), when you think about all the human and financial resource that goes into defence, imagine (pardon the pun) how much better the world would be if nations all genuinely worked towards the common good. Btw I include western countries in this, I include all countries.

Look at all the turmoil we're experiencing just now, we never learn.

If we wanted a 'war' we could wipe the country of the face of the planet in a few hours at very little cost. They only remain a threat to us because we are too nice.

Correct. There have never been truer words spoken on this forum - apart from by myself of course.

The same goes for crime, in our country and others. The police and authorities know who the criminals are and could round them all up in short order and put an end to them once and for all (in what way I'll leave to the imagination). It would cost relatively little in comparison to the savings made in constantly processing them.

Imagine what we could have if we didn't spend these billions and trillions on being nice to criminal scum, evil backward warring barbaric savages and fat lazy b@stards on benefits.

Thinking about the 5,000 taliban who Trump released; I suppose they should have lined them up and shot them all - but 'we' don't do that sort of thing, so there are 5,000 more taliban than there would have been (don't know how many there are).

Dragon's teeth.

If somebody shot your father/brother/uncle/son

Might you consider taking up arms against them?

more taliban than there would have been

What's a good way of creating implacable enemies?
