The beading around the window reveals are still exposed, will paint cover it after I’ve had the wall decorated? Also I put tape around the new window frames to try and protect them but In areas there are holes in the render. It’s a west facing wall so will it cause a damp problem ? I’m going to try and attach some pictures. Thank you.

It needs finished properly, did you do it yourself as its not tradesman quality work.
At a minimum the reveals need another coat to bring the render flush with the corner of the bead.

Blimey! Really ? No it’s costing a fortune. Wall itself looks good to me - there was about 5 or so of them working on it - but I’ve no clue.

Tell them to finish the reveals properly.
Take a pic further back, what have they used sand and cement?
That's the wrong beads they have used for around the door..looks like bellcast beads, you will never get an acceptable finish on that.

I’m going round in a bit so will take couple more. Yes it’s sand and cement - I think, it’s quite a Sandy finish too, not smooth. Thank you.

Thank you very much alistair read. Why would they do that?? I’ll need to talk to the builder, only finished Friday and I’ve not made stage payment . But.. there’s no way they can change that bead now without major damage. Will I be able to cover it ?

They probably used what they had to hand.
Speak to them before making payment.
Corners should be clean sharp finishes you will not get that with those beads.

They we’re putting drip beads in Instead of bell cast, at my request as door needed to open fully back on the outside ( not sure if that will happen either but that’s another issue). They must have used same ones. Does that mean they have to come off? Thank you for you advice.

Depends what you are willing to accept aesthetically, it will be less noticeable if you are painting it.
Regardless of the beads it's still not finished and needs rendered flush with the beads.
The mess left on your window frames doesn't give me confidence in their attention to detail or workmanship.

Worryingly the builder, who contracted them, doesn’t appear to have noticed (yet?). There is scratches on the top of my new ali door frame too. I didn’t cover that bit coz the manufacturing tape was still on so thought would be ok. I was going to let that go, I’m at the stage in the renovation where I’m letting lots go.

Don't let anything go, you are paying your hard earned cash for a professional job, you are a long time looking at it..nip it in the bud...its not your job to provide protection either.
Have a serious word with your contractor tell him to change the beads for proper external render corner beads and get your window frames cleaned up...any damage is down to him to rectify. If your not happy withhold payment. I would.

Thanks again for your advice. CDE4E300-42DB-4DD0-9B86-829BA3E51C65.jpeg Just had a look at the window on the same wall, bead is totally different, the right one! The must’ve not brought enough. I will withhold some of the total, they have skimmed the whole house inside too, even the floor!
