How do I make this look OK - ie gap on bottom right? It doesn't have to be perfect ...
I don't have the tools to cut a piece of wood to fill the gap. Would expanding foam, cut back and filled with caulk / wood filler work?
Maybe just a bit of corner moulding to disguise it ...

The ideal solution is to have a scribe filler piece or a scribed fascia, but as you say those solutions require some tools and maybe a bit of practice.

So, as an alternative, up to about 10mm you can often caulk joints with decorators acrylic caulk opaintable silicone sealant smoothed with a "silicone finger" (silicone sealant smoother) like this Vitrex item :

Or a set like these (Cramer Fugi sealant profiling kit):

Which can produce neat bevels up to about 10mm. Both Lidl and Aldi do their own versions from time to time which are actually very good, not to mention 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the Cramer sets.

Gaps bigger than about 5mm can be packed flush with proper infill stuff like Fossa Caulk Saver or even papier mache made up with some PVA, but I find that expanding foam tends to be a bit squashy for use beneath caulk, not to mention being a bit awkward to get consistently flat
