Adjustable bed frame

Have been looking at adjustable beds.
Is it possible to make up a suitable under mattress frame to try out
various positions, with an existing mattress, before purchasing the real thing.

Mdf board hinged at knee and lower back positions.Chain or strap along the side can be used to maintain any “fold”.(piano hinges)
