New dish washer, replacing old so should have been easy job, unscrewed water hose at old dish washer, but new one hose does not unscrew at dish washer, originally 90° bend at supply isolator, new one straight, needed a 73 mm hole saw to get the end through, not easy when already a hole, lucky I had hole saws I could use.

But what is the lump? Pressure reducers, filter, and why on supply pipe not in dish washer? Picture

shows filter but what is the big lump? The supply hose looks like the waste hose and same diameter but different colour, assume it is a protective outer? It seems there is the option of a standard size pipe, but not with model I have, Blomberg LDF42240.

'The Aqua-Stop design incorporates a dual layer inner hose encased within a hard plastic outer hose. If either of the inner hoses should leak, a specially designed shut-off mechanism will be triggered, blocking the hose and preventing water flow.'
