These ****s out panic buying petrol are idiots.

The tabloids are idiots for making an unnecessary panic.

I think we should station the army at eah forecourt. If you have 1/4 tank or less you can get petrol.

No Jerry cans allowed.

Emergency staff have treated as priority.

MP's and journalists aren't allowed to get fuel as it's all there fault..

I have 3/4 of a tankful, filled up in the north/east a month ago and I am not anticipating any need for more for quite a while. Our shelves at home are maintained near full too. So no point in us panic buying anything.

Straight up - BBC political reporter reporting on the fuel shortage situation, standing at a fuel station this morning on BBC News. The reporters name Phil McCann.

Priority should be given to commercial vehicles that can prove they are in the trade
Other exceptions of course
NHS workers
Taxis
Carers
Etc

every one else can go and do one

I'm down to a quarter of a tank, I'm off to Jewsons and Toolstation in a moment so I might take a look at refuelling, but as I'm working locally, that should last me a week or more.

The local garages in the town I live in all had queues (at 7.45 this morning), diesel ran out in at least one of them. I was down to a range of about 100 miles which I'd have likely blown by the end of tomorrow and then I gotta get to work next week so queued up for about 5 mins to get diesel in another nearby town on my way to the supermarket this morning. It's not all panic buying, guess I get through about 2 tank fulls a month.

I filled up our A3 on Friday morning so about 450 miles left now and the Golf is 3/4 full so around the same sort of miles left. My scooter that only holds 9 litres is nearly empty and I want to use it in Monday to go to work so I might have to go out early tomorrow morning to get some. I might jump the queue and push it onto the forecourt. Either that or get the hose into the A3's filler and start sucking!
