Should he be named

You really are a different breed from anyone else on this site...... I'm going to have to put you on ignore for your well being and my time....
I see a bit of a pattern developing here, Bodd, and I wouldn't like what I see if I were you.
Are there others that accuse you of lying?
You have blamed immigrants for suppressing wages on here constantly. Seriously you lie like Bojo no wonder you love him.

PS Don't lie to your kids.

Straw man argument after your lies are called out. Typical response Bodd.

If you care about exploited workers you wouldn't be so against wage increases for teachers, nhs staff etc.

If it transpires he's guilty, I'll watch with interest to see what sentence he gets. If it falls into my 2 criteria (proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he wasn't coerced in any way and the victim was completely innocent e.g. simply in the wrong place, wrong time) then it should be a whole life sentence as just given to Wayne Couzens.

This should be the default sentence if these criteria are met.

It is pretty scary how our society is changing.
Woman gets murdered while walking home through a park, police officer rapes and murders woman and then burns her body, girl raped at beach, teenager blows himself up at a concert - the list seems to grow every year.

Nothing like the good old days of pub bombings, terrorism and mass murdering rapists in the '70's and 80's eh.
Changing my arse. The 'list' is the same and depressing as it ever was.

Sorry Bodd, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll never stop worrying. Our daughter who is 33 and lives with her boyfriend in North London, is going out with Mrs Mottie and her friends on Saturday night to see the Mamma Mia show at the O2. Mrs Mottie has said there is no way she is going home on her own at 10.30 at night and either her boyfriend picks her up or she comes back with her and the others and stays at ours. It doesn’t help that that our daughter is the same age and very, very similar in looks to Sarah Everard and we can’t help feeling 'what if' whenever we see her on TV. It can be very frightening being a parent with children of any age.

And it must be just as worrying about the boys.. it's our nature. My mum used to worry about me in my travelling days.

I'd say to her "there are 18 year old girls travelling Asia on their own and it's safer in Bangkok Jakarta and Deli than it is walking the streets of my own town."

Hope they enjoy the show I went to see for my 40th

Yep. My son, 35, lives in Chelmsford and went to see West Ham play Rapid Vienna last Thursday. Mrs Mottie had to babysit our grandson from 4.00 until his girlfriend got home from work but she gave him the third degree on who he was going with, how he was getting home etc and he had to text her when he was in!

Hope they enjoy the show I went to see for my 40th
Mrs M has been beside herself since July - her mates chipped in, booked the show and paid for her ticket as a surprise pressie for her 60th. There's 8 of them going and recently one of them dropped out so our daughter steamed in and had her ticket. They are in the 'courtyard' and the tickets were bloody expensive I thought - although the price does include a drink, a meal and the 'after party'.

Is it starting to reflect the typical British treatment of others abroad, in other societies?
Malaya
Batang Kali Massacre 1948
48 unarmed, innocent villagers murdered by British soldiers. UK government blamed the Sultan of Selangor

Malaya's Internment Camps 1948
500,000 villagers interned in 450 camps as collective punishment, and brought disease, misery and death to the camp internees.

Kenya 1952 to 1960
Up to 450,000 Kikuyu interned, and more than 1,000 hanged. torture and atrocities were committed by British soldiers.

20 unarmed people murdered during the Mau Mau uprising.

Hola massacre where 11 camp detainees were clubbed to death, and the survivors suffered serious life long injuries.

War on Terror
UK government sought to protect British soldiers world wide from prosecutions for war crimes.

2019 UK government were accused of covering up killing and torture of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan a British soldier was convicted of murder of an unarmed, wounded Taliban. He served 3 years in prison.

China and India, the world's two most populous nations have suffered the worst from British overseas encroachment. That history runs deep in China and India. Any trade between China and India now will always be based on punitive terms for UK.

Yes, UK society is changing, it's starting to reflect the typical treatment of others in other societies, by British soldiers.
Sometimes, it emerges that officials are responsible for such crimes in UK, and because they are committed in UK, the full weight of the law enforcement is brought to bear. But when those similar crimes are committed on foreigners, in other societies, UK seek to hide, excuse, or absolve those responsible.

So no different from other countries? What country's ethics do you admire then?

There's actually a connected point here, perhaps a bit tenuous but valid nevertheless.

The green agenda wants us, wherever possible, to use public transport. From a personal safety point of view, this isn't an issue in daylight hours, in areas that are relatively busy or where a bus stop or train station is almost literally on someone's doorstep. However on the flip side of that i.e. when it's dark, in areas that aren't very busy or where someone has a walk of x minutes from a bus stop or train station to their house, the risk to personal safety increases, significantly so.

With all this in mind, unless someone has to use public transport for whatever reason, I wouldn't be advising them to give up their personal transport until such times as pubic transport and policing is much more robust.
