Should he be named

So no different from other countries? What country's ethics do you admire then?
As a British person, voting in British politics, am I not allowed to criticise UK policies and decisions without declaring a preference for another country's ethics?
UK claims to be a paradigm of virtue but is far from it. That is an argument in itself without resorting to comparisons with other countries.
Let's clean up our own act, then we will be in a position to criticise others, without allegations of hypocrisy.

Nothing like the good old days of pub bombings, terrorism and mass murdering rapists in the '70's and 80's eh.
Changing my arse. The 'list' is the same and depressing as it ever was.

i think it's a case of we hear about it more maybe....

Welcome to the swerve the answer club. You’re in good company.

There's actually a connected point here, perhaps a bit tenuous but valid nevertheless.

The green agenda wants us, wherever possible, to use public transport. From a personal safety point of view, this isn't an issue in daylight hours, in areas that are relatively busy or where a bus stop or train station is almost literally on someone's doorstep. However on the flip side of that i.e. when it's dark, in areas that aren't very busy or where someone has a walk of x minutes from a bus stop or train station to their house, the risk to personal safety increases, significantly so.

With all this in mind, unless someone has to use public transport for whatever reason, I wouldn't be advising them to give up their personal transport until such times as pubic transport and policing is much more robust.

I loathe public transport.
Buses are crowded downstairs while it's empty upstairs as you have a bunch sitting at the back smoking weed. Free travel for kids and teens has made these yobs terrorize the buses.
Trains are unsafe at nights in the city as you have drunks beating up each other.

Haven't used public transport for years and I would advise anyone to strongly avoid public transport.

Welcome to the swerve the answer club. You’re in good company.
You ask an irrelevant question, and claim I'm doing the swerving?

Me: It's cold and wet outside.
Mottie: So where would you rather be?
Me: I'd still rather be here, but I wish it was warmer and dryer.
Mottie: You're swerving.
Me: I'd still rather be here, but I wish it was warmer and dryer. Is that too difficult for you to understand?

You must have reached a very high proficiency level to declare yourself the arbiter of awards.
Do you have students as well?

You should try keeping up with transam, (which shouldn't be too difficult even for someone as dim witted as you) he's already resorted to that tactic days ago. My response to transam at that time applies also to you:
"Well, blow me down, I had only one DIY question, is that unusual?
Would it help if I can think of another?

And having a little play time, I had a little explore of other threads, and found some seriously concerning comments. Is that unusual?

Are you resorting to number 3 tactic now? It looks like it, Or are you resorting to number 8 and number 3? Why not try them all, you've nothing to lose, you've already lost any credibility."

In your case it sounded like you didn't have much credibility to lose.

You asked that question a couple of days ago.
"perhaps you may be best to post in the building forum part of the forum ?????? as opposed to the general disscussion ??"

Is your memory worse than your intellect? It would appear so.

My response is still the same, in case you didn't read it then:
"For someone who's been on this site for so long, you don't seem to know your way round very well.
If you'd checked you could have deduced (well maybe you couldn't, but the average intelligent person could), that is where I started.
As for you giving me any assistance, I wouldn't trust anything you said. It would be bound to be ingrained with spite and hatred."

oh

well still try calais or Dover bound to be some one who has expertise on under pinning a building ? some of em came from a war zones
so experts in under pinning damaged buildings due to bomb damage may well be looking for work ?

and lets face it your problem is hardly akin to bomb damage

You're back on tactic number 10, when you can't add anything of any sense, talk gibberish.
But what you have done is proven without any shadow of doubt that you either don't read other peoples' responses, or your memory is fragile that you are incapable recalling a conversation from days ago, and you repeat the same old comments.
My response to your comments a few days ago
"I am not intending to recruit trades people from this site.
It wouldn't be me doing the recruiting, The work, hopefully will be insurance funded, and I assume they will be responsible for recruiting the trades.
I can however insist on vetting all those that will be working in and around my house, that they are not some of the limited number of obviously dishonest and prejudiced people that inhabit this site and post such horrendous nonsense. I wouldn't want them anywhere near the work on my house.
I am also aware that there are people posting form various locations in the country, so locally is not really relevant in this situation. I have also heard mention of possibly underpinning, which I gather is a bit of a specialist job, so 'locally' may not apply."
