Hey how tight should I tighten flexible tap taps to a monoblock tap?

No more than by hand? There's a part on the flexi tail to take a spanner though

The O rings supply the seal, so there is no need to over-tighten, a little silicon grease and as tight as you can get them by hand is plenty.

If you had a set of instructions for your tails it would say
Hand tighten only, do not use a spanner
When you tighten them try not to kink the tail by twisting it
If you want to give a little nip up with a spanner after using hand power, that's up to you

If I just do them by hand I may slacken them when I tighten the compression fitting at the over end of the flexi?

As long as you have 2 adjustables on the compression end then the flexi pipe should not need to move.

Hand tight and a tiny nip with a spanner, or is that not really needed then?

Not needed but if it would make you feel better then fire away, just a teeny weeny nip. Just be careful to not over compress the o ring(s) as they can burst and then it's leaky leaky.

That is a good question. I’ve just just done up some flexitails. They were really difficult to tighten with my fingers at full stretch. I used a spanner but found it difficult to get any feel. I’m concerned that I may have overtightened.

Is there a way to tell? The last thing I want to happen is for it to burst a few weeks/months down the line.
