Hi, I have a twin spot halogen floodlight with a sensor that keeps turning on and off every few seconds,
I've tried messing with the settings and cutting the supply and turning back on but it's still doing it.
Any ideas please ?
Thanks

Hi, yes, I've tried altering that, it then stays on ages and clicks back on once gone off

If the timer/sensor is an integral part, you will need a new light - unless you can buy them on their own or connect a separate PIR sensor to the lights.

Possibly a faulty PIR but also possible is the PIR sensing the light turning OFF and restarting the ON period.

Covering the PIR, so it is completely blacked out, will confirm whether that might be the issue. The more usual issue is rain water ingress.

My most common solution to repeated triggering, ther than replacing a faulty unit, is cleaning out the spiders, earwigs, ants etc which have found themselves a nice dry warm home.
Tis also a fairly regular issue with intruder alarm PIRs.

This is of course assuming it's not genuinly detecting as it should such as people or vehicles passing the field of view, like our neighbours which points straight down the drive. It even triggers with the heat/light of the 500W flood lamp on the house across the road.
