Briggs And Stratton Recoil Starter Bolts

Where can I purchase these on the web and what size thread do they have ??

We have a nuts and screws outlet nearby, but would need the size.

Only seen second hand ones advertised.

These are either UNC or even a self tapping thread.....have a look at GHS Ltd - but the genuine price is ridiculous.
John :)

I’m sure they are 1/4 UNC with a 3/8 head. I’m also sure that I have spare ones in my shed. However, I’m in Tenerife just now so I can’t check.

That would be my guess too - with the flanged head. I've noticed that some of them have a cutting slot on the side of the thread so they screw into tinwork - others, which screw into the cylinder head for example, are fully threaded.

Would you Locktite 270 Permanent, same as they use on motor cycles

Enjoy the sun, don't hurry back there's no petrol and looks like food will be next

We’re supposed to be flying to Lanzarote tonight but, they’ve closed the north airport because of the dust cloud from the volcano on La Palma. Maybe they’ll get it open again in time for our flight. Fingers crossed.
