The whole car is not going to put its weight on one wheel. Whilst I don't know what the weight is on one wheel most tyres including mine say that the tyre can take 650kg.
It just feels soft when walking over this drain. Curious to know what others experience when fitting manhole covers.

I have two pressed steel covers in my drive, just in front of my garage. I was wary at first, but they are fine. I wouldn't put a jack on them though to jack my car up on them.

They are built to a cheap price rather than a quality, they do bounce a bit and probably don't work as well in real life as in theory. I had exactly the same situation with a similar cover, and i took the basic one back for a refund and ordered an ACO one online for double the price but double the quality, that one is specified by proper architects and bought by the pallet load.

John there is a risk that my car when parked in the garage, my left front tyre (therefore the heavier engine load bearing weight) will either slowly go over it or park on top of it as it's the correct position where my car will eventually come to a stationary stop.
Not sure how I can argue for my money back given that it's been several months. Then again it's only £25 I lose rather than a damaged suspension.
If it concerns you, put a piece of thick ply over it, or a suitable piece of scrap steel sheet - to spread the weight. 650Kg point load rating, is more than the load of most cars, even at the front.

I would interpret that as only suitable for pedestrian traffic in public areas. It clearly says it is able to support a vehicular load of 1.25 tonnes, on one of its wheels, on top of the cover.
As already said, I have two similar covers in my drive, just in front of my garage. I drive my large and very heavy car over them every time the car goes in or out of the garage. I take no special care to avoid parking on them.
I must admit I was a little wary at first, but I needn't have been.

Clarke make several different drain covers that all look the same from above. There is a PC6AG which is Pedestrian only and weighs 5.5kg and a PC6BG which can take 5 tonne Gross Plated Weight and weighs 6.5kg (there are other heavier ones). Wickes seem to have mixed together the specifications of more than one drain cover on their web site. Does your cover weigh 5.5kg or 6.5kg?
I honestly don't know and it's not mentioned anywhere and not easy to weigh unless I bring a pair of scales to the building site and Mr standing on it as I'm not living at the property yet.
It will bend and deform but it won't collapse, there will be something like a factor of 3 safety wise
Yes. with all the minimum stresses they allow for in the steel, an allowance for someone driving at speed over it giving static and dynamic forces I would well imagine loading it with 2 tonne wouldn't make it disappear down the manhole. Please do an on site test and report back.
