I have a 532/i boiler....I think.

The CH pump comes on in the middle of the night and runs continuously for hours. I think it's a feature designed to keep all the rooms at a uniform temperature by redistributing the heat of the rooms. Regardless the noise is awful and keeps me awake, so I want to stop it.

My boiler doesn't appear to have a screen like a lot of others. So my question is for my boiler (image attached) what is this feature called and how do I stop the pump running?

Room thermostat with back set temperature?
I don't think so, the boiler isn't coming on (heating), it's just the CH pump coming on. I also have the thermostat temperature set to 9c at night, but I doubt the house is getting anywhere close to that.

Hi, sounds like a 'frost stat' is being activated. Reduce the night time thermostat to 4c, and see if the pump still cuts in, or disable the night time stat entirely.

I was able to reduce down to 5c, it won't go down any further than that. There isnt a specified night time mode on the thermostat as far as I can tell, but I set the period that relates to night as 5c.

Why is the case off?...put it back on and make sure it is fitted correctly..it's a safety critical part of the system and prevents the possibility of combustion
products entering the room especially if it hasn't had a full service (heat exchanger seals, electrodes etc) for many years.
This is a British Gas badged Worcester CDi model.
What external boiler controls have you got fitted?
A pump running continuously on these models is often down to a faulty pump.

You'll be happy to know the cover is back on.

The controller is a British gas branded RC plus. The pump doesn't run continuously through the day, just at night.

It looks like that's just a rebadged Drayton Digistat +2 prog room thermostat.
Where's the boiler located?
