Just been outside to take the dog crate out of the back of the Golf as it’s booked for an MOT tomorrow at 8:30. Something made me check the lights again even though I had only checked them a week or so ago when I serviced it and fitted a couple of tyres. One of the numberplate lamps wasn’t working! There’s nowhere I could get a festoon bulb this time of night but luckily, the lamp above the sun visor had a festoon bulb so I swapped that over.

It’s a free MOT at Halfords and Mrs Mottie keeps rolling her eyes and telling me I won’t be getting away with any free MOT tomorrow. We'll see. :sneaky:

Pass. Of course!

Naturally they tried to sell me a couple of tyres for the rear which I politely refused. Cracked - my arse!

Just back from Portugal , sent off the PCR tests, had a moment in the airport hotel going out when Mrs CB woke up at 3am realising we had printed off the wrong thingy for our outgoing tests, she went down to reception with the iPad while I paced up and down in the room drinking coffee, all sorted hotel printed the correct forms, at check in the guy never glanced at them, neither did the passport guy at Porto ho hum

I took some pics for wifes uncle of his garden and messed about with photoshop to give a watercolour effect, his comment "pity they were blurred "

It’s mushroom season. Saw this monster when I was walking the dog this morning. Half of it was missing but it was still a fair old size.

Had another bugger of a day in work doing a mate a favour. Set of pads on a Kuga. No problem but he'd had the car a year and found out today that he didn’t have a key for the locking wheel bolts. I managed to get three of them off very easily with easy-outs but the shoulder of the nut snapped off on one of them meaning I couldn’t use that method as I only had a flat face. I ended up drilling a couple of holes in what was left, then using a part of my piston wind back tool fitted in the hole to undo the nut. Took over an hour or so of sweating and cursing though - he commented that I wouldn’t make a very good wheel thief!
