Had our Hyundai i20 in for test and vent ribs on the discs are rotting a bit.

Was favouring Mintex pads and discs but have made the discovery, TMD who now own the brand, now supply budget stuff on the label and the pads are prone to excessive dust.

Have gone for BluePrint which I've installed before along with BP filters.

There seems to be problems getting brake stuff just now....my factor couldn't supply Blueprint discs so I went for Eicher instead.
Coated, they look pretty good but we'll see in a year or so how well they are lasting.
John :)

All the factors in my area seem focussed on Apec and Napa.

simplycarparts, who trade on ebay, stock both BluePrint and Febi.

The BP discs and pads I got earlier this week are from RTG Automotive

I got a Mintex fixing kit, slider pin boots, pad shims and pin grease, to fit the pads with because Mintex are the only kit available. Boots are canny but the shims are a poor fit. The job's done and have a good brake pedal so Blueprint pads/discs yet again have my vote.

If you have a Napa store nearby the brake fit range of brakes is extremely good value for money.

Mintex are still a good pad, their pagid range is the budget with mintex being the next one up and Bendix being there top brand.

Textar is their brand in Europe.

Excessive dust is the nature of many pads these days, luxury car brands are notorious for it. This is usually drastically reduced by fitting pads that use a ceramic compound.

Thanks for the feedback.

The local factors seem to stock Napa and Apec of which I've used both. So long as you get a good brake pedal, that's the important criteria.
