Hi

Looking for some options for bathroom window privacy. I have just had the bathroom re done and the old roman blind now gone.

The glass has a frost to it obviously being a bathroom window but when the light is on I wouldn't say its completely private.

I thought about a perfect fit blind as its a tilt and turn in window, but wondering if there is anything else as dont really want a blind. Is there any privacy films that can be used, would need to be a white film though.

Thanks

Hi,

I used a decorative window film from:

https://www.brume.co.uk/

for my bathroom.

It was easy enough to apply, but it's not something to do by yourself!

If I were to do it again, I would consider taking the whole sealed unit out. It would make cleaning the window and cuts to the film a lot easier with a seamless result going behind the seals.

I hope that gives you some ideas :)

Does that provide completely privacy once applied? i.e no silhouettes

We leave curtains always open, but we have only two small side windows which are overlooked. Rather than mess about with curtains on those, I added a patterned film as above. I gave the glass a really good clean, cut the film a little too large, wet the window with slightly soapy water and slide the film into place, then squeegeed and trimmed it in place, with a scalpel.

I believe it shows a very diffuse shadow from the outside, but it was a lot better than the patterned glass alone.
If you want better privacy the plain white frosted may be best.
You can also get some samples to give you an idea?

All obscure glass and films will leave a silhouette of varying degrees. There are different ' levels' of obscurity ( just have a look at Pilkingtons website for obscure glass, shows how the obscurity levels work ) . If you don't want any silhouetting then a blind or curtain is the only way or if money is no object , a new sealed unit with an integrated blind...

Thanks for all comments, decided to go with a perfect fit roller blind
