Is it defiantly the right bar for the saw?
The oil hole is normally a small hole , one each side for when you flip the bar

Maybe the oil is just trickling out behind the bar, and not hitting the chain?

I had originally fitted a 52 link chain as at the time i was unable to locate a 53 link chain.
This then made the bar come back slightly.
Now ive managed to locate the 53 link chain i fitted it up & took the photo.
Also did the same with the 52 link chain.
The hole in the bar is blocked when the 52 chain is fitted but aligns correctly when the 53 chain is fitted.
This is the reason why no or next to no oil was on the bar.
My mistake from the start for using the 52 link chain even though it fitted.
