I would think so. I retired before the fashion for needlessly using 1.5mm².

Are the cables 1.5mm²? If so, the rose looks plenty big enough, so...

I'm not sure on the cables tbh but there are some connectors currently being shared and the junction box you've linked to looks similar to the connections on the ceiling rose that's there atm so I guess that could work. I live in the north though, Preston to be exact, and they don't have any branches nearby.

Cheers. That seems like a good solution then. Thanks for your help again. I'll keep you updated on how I get on. Fortunately there's a Screwfix branch that has a Toolstation practically next door so I can return the box of connectors I bought and pick these up plus the junction box from Toolstation.

If you intend to put the junction box in the loft ,you could Just use a conventional round junction box if you wished.

It's only the very end that is bare though right and those will be going into a wago connector?

I think I get what you mean, in the large earth sleeving will be 4 conductors and if there's no sleeving on those or it isn't long enough then I'll need to put some sleeving on them after cutting back the larger sleeve? I've had a look online and my local hardware store sells 2m of 3mm earth sleeving for 65p so that's a great option for me rather than buying 100m that I'm never going to use
