Fibreglass flat roof - refurb or replace?

I've got a large flat roof that was redone with a fibreglass system about twenty years ago. It's largely sound, but is now showing it's age with some visible cracking/flaking in a few places.

Is it possible to get it refurbished in any way, or am I looking at a complete replacement?

I'd imagine it can be refurbed.

They do so with boats... And I'd imagine it's very much a similar exercise.

How much it costs is probably the same as a new roof I'd imagine, but 20years doesn't seem like a long time for fibreglass roof

are damp signs showing anywhere? a lot can depend on how the roof was originaly prepped for the fibre glass. Pics would help?

Thanks for the replies so far. There are no signs of damp, apart from a small leak that I'm having looked at this weekend. I think that's actually on a pitched roof that drains onto the flat roof, rather than the flat roof itself, as I can see a large gap between two tiles at the hip, and there's some crumbled pointing.

The cracking on the flat roof that I mentioned is mostly where the installers fibre glassed over the lead flashing where the pitched roof joins. I understand that they shouldn't have done that, because of expansion/contraction? The rest of the installation seems pretty good.

The reason I want (informed) opinions about the viability of refurbishment is so I can have a conversation with the contractor who's coming out to look at the leak, with a view to a longer term plan.

The flashing should have been lifted and fiberglassed under, not over the flashing.

Good news with fibreglass you can cut and add and then gel coat with pretty much zero issues.

Even cracks gannbe ground out filed and gel coated again.

It does need someone who knows what they're doing though
