I work from home.
My work is office/computer based, not manual at all.
I lead a relatively sedentary lifestyle. Too sedentary these days truth be told.
I'm nearing 50.
I know for sure (so I don't need advice along these lines ;)) that I'll never be the type to go for walks, or to the gym etc.

I used to do keep fit in the house when younger, had bench, weights, exercise bike etc. I need to do something now to get myself moving again.

Thinking of getting a treadmill, more for walking than jogging. Can set it up in front of the tv and watch progs or these walking videos on youtube. Does anyone on here have one and if yes, do you find it beneficial?

I'll probably go for this one:

Mobvoi Home Treadmill - Your Safe Home Gym.

My other half is nagging me for a treadmill, despite me (and previously her) happily jogging around the neighbour hood once a week.

That one you’ve posted looks good, especially the flat storage - will be interested to know how you get on if you buy one.

I'll probably get it before the festive period and will make a start either shortly before or after new year. Will post an update.

We have a Reebok One Series GT30 Treadmill, bought it 2016 and nothing gone wrong with it yet. I wouldn't risk getting one of those little ones, but they might be fine.

Has a good incline on it. We have it in a tight spot (breaking their health and safety guidelines) with a shelf in front for a laptop and speakers.
Walk uphill, you burn a lot more calories and work much harder than jogging on flat.

Be careful doing that, these hoods sometimes carry weapons, and may get annoyed at you circling them, even if it is only once a week:rolleyes::mrgreen:

To the OP, these treadmills are large bits of kit, not readily shifted from in front of the telly, so maybe think about where it's going to go during the 99% of the time you're NOT using it...unless you've got an unfeasably large lounge.

Cheers. These models are slightly smaller and easier to move around. It'll probably stay in my lounge and might be wheeled to a different place in the same room but not far.

Treadmill

you could wire it up to the grid and generate some leccy

do yer bit for climate change as well

Why hasn't anybody built a user friendly (as in, not wired by a crazy electrical engineer with no care for H&S) home exercise generator?
Maybe they have. .... googling...
