Hi all

New to ricochet and just wondering on the steps to get the system installed and fitted. I’m planning on getting this ready on the bench before fitting pir’s etc mounted and keep my current alarm in service until then.

I’ve connected power to panel (no battery arrived yet) and managed to magically pair my wireless keypad. What is the sequence to getting the panel setup? I have 13 pie’s to install along with a some door/impact sensors and 2 bell boxes. Additionally I want to create areas so that I can arm my shed separately with its own keypad.

Thanks

Devices are learnt via learn ricochet device in programming menu, then set up each zone .
Have you access to programming manual as this tells you how to install and program.

Thanks for that. No programming manual came with it, just user manual

Manuals are available online or log into Texecom to access manuals.
Texecom do not supply manuals in control to save paper .

The process of setting up depends on what sensors and what you need them to do.

Do you have the right sensors for what you need?

If you managed to learn on a wireless keypad to the system learning contacts, shocks and PIRs should be relatively simple, lots of people struggle with the wireless keypad so well done.

I don’t have all the sensors yet, waiting on the shock sensors to arrive but have 9 x dt-w sensors, a door sensor and 2 bell boxes.

didn’t get much time yesterday but managed to get the smart com fitted and got it now connects to wintex. I tried to add to the app but it asks for an installer id, of course I don’t have one of these so is there a way around this?

Texecom did offer a temporary installer id not so long go its mentioned on here so you can contact them for that or contact an installer, or you could try registering on the cloud, it is supposed to be installers only mind.

I have just emailed texecom asking about a self installer code. If I can’t get that it makes smartcom a bit of a waste.

Tried registering on the cloud but installer only and asked for all details of company

if you want visibility only pm me

My have to find a convenient time as would need engineers code and app code and the app code is only valid for 60 minutes

I emailed texecom and got a reply back within 15 minutes. Managed to setup myself as an installer and have an installer Id for myself now.

thanks for the offer secureiam, much appreciated. I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions

Texecom are now accepting Cloud registrations from all and sundry, its an automated process now and you no longer have to declare that you are an alarm installing company.

Hi again

I’ve managed to pair 8 pir’s but can’t get one dt-w to pair or a Qd-w. Just keeps after a while, have tried adding on other zones but no luck

You have to hold the learn button on those whilst you insert the battery
