Now that COP26 has kicked off and all the delegates are arriving at Edinburgh and Glasgow airports does it not seem a bit ironic that most of them are arriving in big empty airplanes?
Biden arrived an hour ago and was carted away followed by a 21 car entourage plus police.
Also, as there are too many planes to park at Edinburgh and Glasgow, they are then flying them 40 miles down the road to Prestwick to park the swear word things.
Would anybody like to comment?

As long as the carbon generated is offset then what is the issue?

Even if it isn't then the potential results might be worth it anyway.

Same as always, do as I say, not as I do.

Silly argument, just another distraction from what is being discussed.

We could have watched the Euros on the TV.

We supposed to be finding solutions to climate problems, and living as normal as possible, not bickering about people meeting up.

Bidens 85 car motorcade through Rome, his car does 8 mpg , just shows what a joke these people are.

What I can't understand is, why do we export beef and pork, yet import beef and pork (along with other things)?. I understand we probably get more for the stuff we sell and are prepared to get food at the lowest possible price, but we must start to realise that sorting this climate thing out is going to cost us (the taxpayer), so why not start by limiting importing stuff that we are exporting. Food will be fresher, we will be eating less, so it may have other benefits.

Except they are not really? And it can be discussed by zoom. Most of the speakers are appearing by zoom anyway so why can't the leaders do the same?

Scientists don't have to travel half the world whenever they need to discuss problems and solutions.

Nobody at COP26 is actually discussing solutions, just champange socialists virtue signalling and dicussing nonsense:

"Poets for the Planet and Imperial College London present Earthsong: science-inspired poetry against climate change"
"Are Religious Leaders Rising to the Climate Challenge?"
"Earth Observers: From space frontiers to frontline farmers; a women-led debate on climate justice."
"Feminist Action for Climate Justice"

That's just the first day.

I agree, it's crazy.

Two way trade is a sensible solution that provides seasonal tolerance, transportation cost leveling and overall more consumer choice. Hence why you can choose a Japanese car in the UK, despite cars as a general category also being made in the UK.

Sometimes is also not possible to have the competition required to have super efficient one way trade either.

I originally stated Biden’s motorcade count was 21. I’ve just read that it was north of 45 and there were four planes to carry all his guff. A Boeing 747 (Air Force One), an identical plane which acts as a decoy, as well as two colossal C-17 Globemasters loaded with The Beast etc.
It just seems crazy to be coming to a meeting about saving the planet acting as they couldn’t give a flying duck.

The UK imports the same amount of lamb as it exports.

it’s to do with the volume of sales of the cuts of meat as seasonality.

here in UK we like leg of lamb and especially around Easter.

Same with fish, we export 70% to the EU and import what we eat most of….Norwegian cod
