Can it be done? Does the company have a customer service email address? BG social media sites refer you back to website with automated reply; phonecalls do the same with selection options, or you just wait and wait... Chatbot's useless. Just saying.

* This relates to a bill enquiry, nothing more. But they don't make it easy! :(

You may have been unlucky, or the system's changed. Back in the Spring I used the online Chat to contact one of their agents. But I already had an account, so perhaps that's a pre-requisite?

Maybe I do need to register an account just to talk to them about leaving them. Bizarre! The issue is moving to a property where they were the previous energy provider.

Thanks Bernard. Is this legit? I mean he's not a mate likely to a) get inundated with several thousand complaints! or b) into trouble?

The CEO's secretary, mail screener or similar person will see the mail first and may decide to pass the missive down from above to the head of the department responsible.

Success isn't achieved every time but it is achieved enough times ( various companies ) to make composing and sending a politely worded e-mail worthwhile.

sometimes if you go the new customer route you can get through fairly instantly and play dumb and ask to be connected to the place you want
