Shortages on the shelves at Sainsbury’s

The madness never ends. Unlike the crisp supply.

If there's such a shortage of foodstuffs and British businesses are allegedly running short of food to put on the shelves down to Brexit with all those custom checks at the border, how come food from the continent is getting more plentiful on the supermarket shelves? It just doesn't make sense to me.

There are no customs checks of food coming into UK from EU.

Maybe UK produced food is suffering from supply line issues, and/or labour shortages.

I wonder if the average housewife in Afghanistan or Syria are complaining about the lack of garlic bread in the supermarket freezer...
FFS, you should've lived a couple of generation ago.
My grandma would count herself lucky to find aubergines down the market.
Garlic bread? Frozen???
You just make your own!
Mango, papaya, watermelon, passion fruit and all other exotic food... WTF are they???
Now we moan that our fruit imported from the other side of the world are not ripe.
No shyt sherlock!
First world problems.
Go down the pub and neck down a couple of local ales.

Must be a new symptom of coronavirus - people lose their sense of humour on Friday afternoons

Nah, it's a side effect of the vaccine. An extra active agent has been added to stop people taking the píss.

I think you may be taking my initial post a bit too serious.
I gathered your tongue in cheek post, others got agitated, hence my reply.
Whenever someone mentions the B word or the C God, zombies start hunting here on the forum.

I wonder if the average housewife in Afghanistan would vote to self impose economic sanctions and supply chain chaos.

What a strange thought to carry round in your head.
I wonder if the people of the United Kingdom would vote to impose economic sanctions and create supply chain chaos in the UK…..and claim how great it si once they’ve done it.

Brexers told us this wouldn't happen.

"There’ll be no damage to trade with the EU"

“There is a European free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border and we will be part of it… Britain will have access to the Single Market after we vote leave… The idea that our trade will suffer because we stop imposing terrible rules such as the Clinical Trial Directive is silly.” Vote Leave

It's an IT glitch as Walkers are updating the production software. Nothing to do with Brexit.
I haven't missed my daily nibbles of ready salted as Seabrooks have a cheaper option that's just as crunchy.
