Making a warm roof thinner

So I’ve got this mad idea to make my warm roof construction seem a bit thinner which will hopefully both look better and save me some pennies by using smaller facia boards.

I’ve drawn it out rather crudely attached but the basic premise is to cut my rafters flush with the stud wall top plate and then ‘fly’ the osb3 (18mm) roof deck out 100mm to the sides and 300mm at the front.

I’ll then frame the roof deck with 4x2 and infill with Insulation to create a warm roof as usual.

This should allow me to run the wall OSB straight up to the roof deck thereby hiding the rafters behind the cladding and giving the illusion that the roof structure it thinner.

Have I missed something obvious here that may/will cause an issue?

Thanks as usual for all your comments and advice folks.

100mm PIR won't be sufficient to meet the U-value required.
Probably need something like 125-140ish.

Thanks Tony, it’s only a garden office but I could go 5x2 frame and hence 125mm, I’ll see if the chaps willing to spend more?

I am trying keep it as close to BR as possible but it is exempt as far as I know.

What are you having pitched roof or flat roof with a pitched pop up around it cos I'm confused

I could extend the front rafters and leave exposed and clad between to add support to the roof but might look odd.

Roof makeup will be 18mm osb/back/100mm pir/11mm osb/Edpm so pretty solid flying 300mm should be ok.

ok starting this tomorrow as per above ill post photos when its done, hopefully work out ok. lol
